Groww Opens the Door to Wall Street: Indian Users Can Now Invest in Apple, Nvidia, Tesla and 10,000+ US Stocks & ETFs
For years, investing in global giants like Apple, Tesla, Nvidia, Amazon, and Google felt complicated for most Indian retail investors.
Groww is now trying to change that.
India’s largest stockbroking platform has started rolling out US stock investing directly within its app, allowing users to access more than 10,000 US-listed stocks and ETFs without switching platforms or opening separate international investment accounts.
The feature is currently being released in phases and is expected to become available to all Groww users in the coming weeks.
Groww Brings Wall Street Inside Its App
With the latest update, Groww users can buy and sell shares of some of the world’s biggest companies from the same app they already use for Indian stocks and mutual funds.
The offering includes access to:
- Apple
- Nvidia
- Tesla
- Amazon
- Meta
- Alphabet (Google)
- Thousands of other US-listed stocks and ETFs
Instead of navigating multiple platforms, investors can now manage domestic and international investments under one roof.
For many users, this significantly reduces the complexity traditionally associated with overseas investing.
Fractional Investing Makes Global Stocks More Accessible
One of the most notable features of the rollout is fractional investing.
Several leading US stocks trade at prices that may be difficult for small investors to purchase in full. Fractional investing removes that hurdle by allowing investors to buy a portion of a share rather than an entire stock.
This means investors can gain exposure to companies such as Nvidia or Tesla without committing large amounts of capital upfront.
The feature is expected to make international investing more accessible to first-time investors and younger users looking to build diversified portfolios.

Powered Through GIFT City Infrastructure
The launch follows Groww’s expansion into global investing through India’s International Financial Services Centre (IFSC) ecosystem in GIFT City.
Earlier this year, the company received regulatory approval to facilitate international investments and partnered with Alpaca Securities, a US brokerage infrastructure provider, to power the offering.
The move positions Groww to participate in the growing demand for cross-border investing among Indian retail investors.
Why More Indians Are Looking Beyond Domestic Markets
Interest in international investing has increased sharply as technology, artificial intelligence, semiconductor manufacturing, and electric vehicle companies continue to attract global attention.
While Indian markets offer exposure to a wide range of sectors, some of the world’s most influential companies remain listed overseas.
Investors seeking opportunities in areas such as:
- Artificial Intelligence
- Semiconductors
- Electric Vehicles
- Space Technology
- Advanced Robotics
often find that many market leaders are based in the United States.
This has led to rising interest in gaining direct exposure to global innovation through overseas equity investments.
A Simpler Route to Global Diversification
Traditionally, investing in US stocks required investors to complete additional onboarding processes, transfer funds internationally, and learn new platforms.
Groww’s integrated approach aims to simplify that journey.
By keeping everything inside a familiar interface, the company hopes to reduce friction for investors who have been interested in global markets but hesitant to take the first step.
For many retail investors, convenience can be the deciding factor between exploring international markets and staying solely invested in domestic assets.
When Will All Users Get Access?
At present, the feature is being rolled out to a limited group of users as part of a beta launch.
According to recent media reports, access will gradually expand over the coming weeks until it becomes available to the wider Groww user base.
Once fully launched, the feature is expected to strengthen competition among Indian investment platforms that are racing to make global investing more accessible and user-friendly.
The Bigger Picture
The line separating Indian and global investing is becoming increasingly thin.
As investors look for opportunities beyond geographical boundaries, platforms are responding by making international markets easier to access than ever before.
With US stock investing now arriving directly inside the Groww app, Indian investors may soon be able to build truly global portfolios without leaving the ecosystem they already trust.
