Rural Distribution Startup DOCO Raises ₹4.5 Crore in Pre-Seed Round Led by GVFL and Malpani Ventures

DOCO is a rural distribution platform founded in 2022 that operates on a Rural Distribution-as-a-Service (Rural DaaS) model. It helps FMCG brands expand their reach into rural and semi-urban markets by connecting regional and emerging brands with customers in Tier 2 towns and beyond.
DOCO’s AI- and ML-driven technology optimises distributor networks, digitises retailer operations, and provides real-time visibility into rural demand patterns, enabling efficient inventory planning and reducing supply chain inefficiencies. The startup has onboarded over 20 food and FMCG brands, connected with more than 10,000 retail stores, and built a network of 60+ distributors primarily in Western Uttar Pradesh.

Funding Details :
DOCO raised ₹4.5 crore (approximately $540,000) in a pre-seed funding round led by GVFL and Malpani Ventures, with participation from existing investor Kunwar Asheesh Saxena, former co-founder and CTO of RedDoorz, and other angel investors.
The funds will be used to expand the technology platform, grow the dark store network, and scale operations across rural clusters. DOCO plans to operate 25 dark stores and reach 25,000 retailers over the next year.
